Sir Gavin Williamson CBE is a British politician and former Cabinet Minister with over a decade of senior government experience. He has served as Secretary of State for Defence, Secretary of State for Education, and Government Chief Whip, as well as Minister of State under three Prime Ministers.
As Defence Secretary, he oversaw key modernisation programmes, strengthened NATO and transatlantic partnerships, and advanced the UK’s global defence agenda. Later, as Education Secretary, he guided national policy through one of the most complex periods in recent history.
